Residential Decorating Contest
For 2024, we encourage all residents to bring out their winter and holiday spirit and decorate their windows, porches, or yards. This will coincide with the Winterfest and the annual tree lighting on Dec. 7th, 2024.
This year’s theme: Classic Christmas
Participant rules:
1. Keep it Family Friendly
2. Incorporate the theme into the design of the display, if possible, or get creative with your own theme
3. If using lights, please use traditional non-blinking, if possible & we encourage LED lighting.
4. Decorated yards should be visible from the street. ONLY decorations seen from the street will be considered.
5. All entry sign-ups must be submitted no later than Nov. 17, 2024. Entry forms will be available on Facebook, via email at events@lowellinchamber.co, or by mail.
6. Must be decorated by Dec. 7, 2024
Photos will be displayed on our Social Media event for likes on a “People’s Choice” award and voting will
begin on Dec. 7, 2024, and end on Dec. 16, 2024. Judges will be viewing homes starting on Dec. 3rd, and
winners to be announced on Dec. 20, 2024, on Facebook and will be presented with a “trophy” and a certificate
of participation.

Window Decorating Contest
For 2024, we encourage all businesses to bring out their winter and holiday spirit and decorate their
windows, porches, or yards (depending on business location). This will coincide with the Winterfest and
the annual tree lighting on Dec. 7th, 2024.
This year’s theme: Classic Christmas
Participant rules:
1. Keep it Family Friendly
2. Incorporate your business into the design of the display (i.e., Elves installing carpet)
3. If using lights, please use traditional non-blinking
4. Decorated window/yard should be visible from the sidewalk but must NOT obstruct the walkway.
5. All entries sign-ups must be submitted no later than Nov. 5, 2024
6. Must be decorated by Dec. 2, 2024
Photos will be displayed on our Social Media event for likes on a “People’s Choice” award.
Judges will be viewing windows starting on Dec. 3rd, and winners to be announced on Dec. 13,
2024 on Facebook and will be presented with a “traveling trophy” that you can display all year at your business.

Holiday Magic Christmas Trees
It is hard to believe, but winter is around the corner. The Lowell Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce it is time for our 9th annual Holiday Magic Christmas Trees!
And to accommodate our Christmas lovers, the Lowell Chamber of Commerce has started planning for this beautiful event. The staked trees will be located at Olde Towne Square at the corner of Commercial Ave. and Fremont St.
Orders for the Christmas trees are being taken now. The trees are purchased from Leo’s Pet Garden & Home. The average height will be between 4-6ft, and they will be Fraser Firs.
The cost of the trees will be $80.00 for Chamber members and $90.00 for non-chamber members. When a tree is purchased, the Chamber agrees to provide electricity, an extension cord, and a sign indicating who the sponsor is or to whom the tree is dedicated.
All trees must be paid for when they are ordered. Only payment guarantees you will have a tree. A receipt will be given as proof of purchase.
To make the project run smoothly, the committee has set a few simple rules that must be followed:

Because of wind and liability concerns, the trees should be decorated with lights and decorations that are carefully wired or tied to the tree branches.

No decorations or spotlights of any kind will be allowed on the ground next to the tree.

The sign placed next to the tree must not be decorated.

It is important to have enough lights on the tree to make it stand out at night, LED lights are highly RECOMMENDED.

The trees MUST be decorated by December 6th for the Winterfest scheduled for Dec 7th.

If a sign is damaged or removed from the tree, a new sign is ordered at the cost of the sponsor.
Checks should be made payable to Lowell Chamber of Comm there are fees for credit card payments for processing.
We expect the trees to be staked by Nov. 22nd. Sponsors will receive a call from the chamber once the trees are set. Sponsors must remove decorations from trees by January 4, 2025.
